The Wheel
Dec. 27, 1990
Coliseum Arena

Love 1990-91 "The Wheel"'s. They played it at a tempo similar to the original studio version. More urgency and intensity to it.

Barnburner, scorcher, etc. There isn't a bad Bruce-era "Jack Straw."

Sugaree
Dec. 27, 1990
Coliseum Arena

A very strong version. Bruce and Jerry seemed to always play off each other well on "Sugaree."

New Minglewood Blues
March 16, 1994
Rosemont Horizon

Killer version from a Top 5 show from 1994. Vince and Jerry are on and Bob means every word.

Radio City Music Hall

Lovely.

Beautifully sung and played.

Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Stadium

Sung and played with authority.
Help On The Way > Slipknot > Franklin's Tower
Oct. 22, 1989
Charlotte Coliseum

The post-"Franklin's" jam is absolutely terrifying and has many of the same elements of the 10/26 "Dark Star." That it comes out of "Franklin's" of all songs makes it even weirder and more interesting. Their happiest, bounciest sounding song becomes this hellish soundscape.
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
Sept. 11, 1982
West Palm Beach Auditorium

I'm in West Palm Beach on vacation now and decided to blast this one on the boat. It is cemented as a Top 5-er for me. Whole band is nutzo. Fast and furious but also tight. Let's bump this way up.
Big Railroad Blues
Sept. 2, 1983
Boise Pavilion - Boise State University

This song really came back with a vengeance in the early 1980s'. This one is the pinnacle but every version from 1980-85 just rips.
