Ramble On Rose
Aug. 6, 1989
Cal Expo
1989 was a banner year for this song. Brent is on fire and Jerry is, well, Jerry. Killer version.

The Wheel
Feb. 17, 1979
Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum
The symbolism of playing this one at Keith & Donna's last show makes this one significant. Great version.

Looe, fun version. Love Brent's solo.

China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
Nov. 8, 1979
Capitol Center
Really strong version. Jerry's vocals are particularly sharp and playful here. Bobby and Brent deliver big here.

Crazy Fingers
May 29, 1992
Sam Boyd Silver Bowl
Vince's synth playing on the solo really gets to the ethereal heart of the song beautifully. At one point he has a 'choir' sound going that fits so perfectly.
Box of Rain
March 24, 1973
The Spectrum
"Words never do this song justice" Neither do live versions.
Morning Dew
Nov. 8, 1979
Capitol Center
Comparing this to 4/15/78 is interesting. The 1978 one is more traditional in terms of pacing and momentum, and I guess I can see how this one can seemed forced since they really drag it out at a lumbering pace. But I judge my "Dew"'s on how authentically make me feel like the world is ending, and this one gives me just that. Both are pretty spec-fucking-tacular, though.
Shakedown Street
April 2, 1989
Civic Arena
This is a Top 3 "Shakedown." The energy is unreal. I shit you not and will fight any who challenge me. You can lose five pounds just jammin' out to this one.
Man Smart, Woman Smarter
Sept. 18, 1987
Madison Square Garden
The vocal breakdown is really sublime.
