Ramble On Rose

A very tight version with great Phil bombs and Jerry solo. This show slips under the radar. Don't miss it.

Jerry's Mutron magic and Bobby's noodling slide make this version unique. So much energy here.

Capital Centre

The jam out of Terrapin>Drums>And>Space is a lysergic MIDI soup of ecstasy. Too bad it had to go into Brent's cheesy lullaby after instead of a Wheel

Estimated Prophet

Frost Amphitheatre

A raging '83 version, filled with crispy headiness. Bobby and Jerry steal faces during the end jam.

Flawless execution. Perfect Keith solo and Garcia performance. A definitive '77 version.

Yeah, I always thought Keith's piano in '71 sounded like an old saloon tack piano. And man, Jer was sure ready to go for his solos on this one.

I'm amazed this isn't more well-known. Jer just never lets up here, even in the wind-down jam. Lots of big swells in the jams, rivaling some of the best known '72 versions. Like you said, more in the "Viola Lee Blues" tradition of Dead progressions, with Keith doing some cool shit now-and-then.

Yeah, was listening to this show on a whim this morning, and this one really caught me. Jerry is super musical with his riffs/leads, changing it up over and over again. Great work by Keith here as well.

This show slays indeed

Keith gets euphoric here.
