High-energy playin' from the boys. Great Garcia solos and Phil bombs.

Electric cool-aid acid version from the beginning of the Summer of Love. You can actually get body waves from listening to this one. Love the organ.

They Love Each Other

A truly heady version from fall '79. Brent's key-clicking Rhodes piano and Jerry's beautiful solo make this my favorite version. TIGHT performance.

A bit rough around the edges but BALLS OUT energy the whole way through. An incredible performance with Jerry belting it out.

Crazy unique FOTM intro jam, unlike any other version I've heard. LOVE '78!

Playin' In The Band

Yes, the sandwich is tasty, but the Playin' itself is a thing to behold. The jam is truly unique. An otherworldly excursion into some Arabian-scented inner-space. Playin' jams in '77 don't usually stand out to me (too much spacy noodling and not enough substance), but this one had me staring at a wall for 8 minutes, trying to pick up every subtle note from Keith's Moog playing and Jerry's guitar.

Keith died in 1980. You are hearing Brent being epic, as he was prone to do. :-)

More votes needed here! This is the peppiest version of Estimated out there. Just so powerful and tight. Keith's Moog is perfect. Not as stretched out or polished as later versions, but equally good. Also, Bobby sings alternate lyrics in a couple of verses.

THE BEAM! I would have been cowering in my seat, balled up in the fetal position during the entirety of this Drums segment. Holy shit.

14:54 version, From Egypt with Love Winterland shows. The bridge solo just rages on and on. A truly heady and inspired version. Jerry takes your brain down the Nile in the outro solo.
