Brokedown Palace

The acoustic set is unbeliebable. We get Ripple, Brokedown and Box of Rain. Three of my favourite songs back to back.

Lloyd Noble Center - University of Oklahoma

You can tell a good Wharf Rat (by the way she shines??) just by listening to the outro jam

Excellent jamming
Playin' In The Band
Dec. 19, 1973
Curtis Hixon Convention Hall

The final part when they come back to the verse is crazy, I don't think I ever heard something like it.

What a perfect way to start the DIck's Picks series, this is insane.
Dark Star
Sept. 19, 1970
Fillmore East

Stars out really quiet and mellow, very contemplative. After the first verse the band falls quiet, the silence is filled with electricity and expectation, until they finally release all the withheld energy and they never look back. When you think they are done they fall into a very short but delightful Feelin' Groovy Jam, the whole rest of the song is one tremendous peak. Just before they fall into second verse Jerry throws in some beautiful passages. Beautiful is just the word to describe this version.
