LISTEN UP: This is the anti-Cornell.....which is a good thing. Let me explain. If Cornell is the "perfect form" of this pairing, then 7-3-78 deconstructs it in a David Lynchian mode of darkness, surreal landscapes, and beautiful dark surprises. If Frank Booth had a favorite Scarlet-Fire, it would be this one. I understand that this version isn't "perfect", yet it is so different from most versions that it seems fucking vital. It may not be "the best", but it is FAR more interesting than 99% of the versions ranked above it....
