Copps Coliseum
Gut-wrenching singing, a ripping solo and a great audience - on a back porch in July...

Brown Eyed Women
Dec. 26, 1979
Oakland Auditorium
Also shocked this is low on the list. It's one of my favorite concise Jerry solos. Tells a forlorn story start to finish with absolutely crisp playing. And the Big River that precedes it is a fiery version that channels Clarence White.
Mississippi Halfstep Uptown Toodeloo
Sept. 3, 1977
Raceway Park
I'm glad we're all in agreement. I've never heard one I didn't like, but this one always thrills me the most. And aside from dynamics, what a great, American song. Hunter was in fine form during the Wake of the Flood era.
Playin' In The Band
Nov. 15, 1972
Oklahoma City Music Hall
Yep, this is my new favorite since its inclusion in DaP11. Simultaneously focused and mind-blowingly out-there.
Row Jimmy
July 4, 1989
Rich Stadium
Impossible to pick one Row Jimmy, but this one is way up there. The Truckin' Up To Buffalo sound quality doesn't hurt either.

1. 5/22 comes before 9/3. Think about it. 2. The nuances are completely different. 3. Very familiar with both and respectfully disagree.
