This Slipknot jam is a MONSTER (go directly to jam). Listen to Phil and Jerry communicate and battle. Results in new heights previously unheard of!

This is THE KILLER BEW! High energy, INSANE Jerry licks in solo, blazes into Jerry screaming "Delilah Jones was the mother of twins!"

How this is not considered the best Loser I'll never know. Absolutely insane Jerry solo ending with an EXPLOSION into "Last fair deal..."

Perfect pace and groove. Super hot ending jam starting by blasting the main lick full band full force. Awesome Jerry licks to complete.

94's, eh? I will check them out. Dec 13 and 14, 1980 is like one huge absolutely epic show. Check out the Deal, Althea, and (if you have time) Scarlet Fire - all are absolutely top notch. Minglewood, Bird Song, and Feel Like a Stranger - all very strong honorable mention. I was very excited when Dave's 8 came out (11/30/80, only 2 weeks before and a lot of the same songs), but was severely disappointed when I listened comparing to 12/13-14/80. Those 2 shows absolutely BURY Dave's 8. In comparison, Dave's 8 is a joke.

You may never hear the entire band rocking so hard and all improvising all at the same time.

Thanks, hvd. There are certainly many great versions of songs on 5/26/77, so it is easy glance over the S&D. Amazing show. If you think this is a good call, please listen to the 12/14/80 Loser. And the Althea, same show, while you're there. You tell me if they are (or aren't) where they should be.

Please see my comments on 5/26/77. I do believe this (2/5/78) is a scorcher, but I'm not so fast to call it #1. While there are plenty of moments where Jerry is on fire and the band following, there are also many moments of sloppiness and confusion. Yes, it's the Dead, nothing's perfect, but I feel I gotta call a spade a spade. I can't help but feel that the reason why this has the most votes and Baltimore just got its 2nd (by me, just now) is because of circulation. 2/5/78 is a Dick's Pick and 5/26/77 is not. Although, maybe I'm wrong and you all have heard 5/26/77. That being said, 2/5/78 is my #2 S&D with 5/26/77 remaining at the top. Regardless, get Dick's 18 for this S&D and the Scarlet Fire that follows.

I will start out by saying the only reason why I came to looking up S&D on headyversion is because I just got Dick's 18 (2/5/78) and thought, "Wow, this S&D is a scorcher!" Prior to listening to Dick's 18, I had ALWAYS thought that the Baltimore S&D is #1, and I still do. I'll tell you why - overall excecution. I don't necessarily mean because Bobby doesn't have any technical difficulties (2/5/78), but more on Jerry. In general, Jerry's licks are tighter here and, wow, some seriously hair-raising moments of true awesome. While 2/5/78 also has some truly great moments of WOW, there are also a descent amount of sloppiness. By no means am I saying that the Baltimore S&D is perfectly excecuted, but I am saying that there is quite a bit more sloppy playing on 2/5/78. Thus, I am making Baltimore my #1 and 2/5/78 my #2.
