Jerry’s tone at this show makes this perhaps the heaviest version ever played!!!

Spirited MAMU > Big River! (Criminally underrated show)…

Transcendent version + with Jerr going full-on spacey! (Weird, like the whole show!)

Perfect encapsulation of this show: not a lot of highlights, but absolutely rippin’, at the same time.

Good Lovin'

Nice version, out of an epic Bertha, both of which need more love!

The Wheel
Oct. 2, 1977
Paramount Theatre
The rest of this show is just “fine”. Average ‘77 - Lemiuex cronies looking down on you, Deadhead - but this is a super dope “The Wheel”. So good it’s almost misplaced on this night…

Good ol’ magical Grateful Dead…!
Estimated Prophet
Oct. 6, 1977
Activity Center. Arizona State U
This one is *funky* (in the best way), cuz Jerr is playing off-tempo + experimenting (in the best way). What a super cool + unique version!
Good Lovin'
Oct. 6, 1977
Activity Center. Arizona State U
The “Bertha” is both solid and fairly tame by ‘77 standards, but this “Good Lovin’” absolutely rips. Bobby takes over + gets after it + they’re all firing, though Jerr, uncharacteristically, hangs back. Odd version, but still rippin’…
