Jerry’s tone at this show makes this perhaps the heaviest version ever played!!!

Spirited MAMU > Big River! (Criminally underrated show)…

Transcendent version + with Jerr going full-on spacey! (Weird, like the whole show!)

Perfect encapsulation of this show: not a lot of highlights, but absolutely rippin’, at the same time.

Nice version, out of an epic Bertha, both of which need more love!

Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
July 7, 1978
Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Scarlet…doesn’t really go anywhere, nor does the transition jam, but Fire fuckin’ jaaams. Phil runs it, but everyone is locked. Not explosive, but grooving’.

Rambler Room

Goddamn! (This is such a perfect representation of how entitled fuckin’ American gringos won’t listen to a show like this, cuz the AUD is less than desirable. But (!) it absolutely rips a weak show like Barton 6 ways to Sunday, from song-to-song).

Holy-fuckin’-shit, is this one of the more epic versions! You can really hear how epic and heavy it is on the AUD, until something weird happens to the recording just exactly at the 3:45 mark, but it still doesn’t take away from the playing. Jerr is throwing DOWN, and everyone is intense!

Jerr so stoked to be bustin’ these out during this week/month…
New Minglewood Blues

Jerr + Keith throwing down absolute fire! What an era…what a week(!)…for Minglewoods!
