Pretty Peggy O
April 10, 1978
Fox Theatre

Yeah, this is one of *the* heady versions of Peggy-O. Jerr especially emotional and taking ethereal solos. Spring ‘78 just keeps on givin’.

Fillmore West

Yup, dats da stuff, right there. Gets its tendrils in ya and doesn’t let go.
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
Dec. 16, 1978
Nashville Municipal Auditorium

All-timer - bar-the-F-none - if ya into wackiness. Jerr’s tone just blazing all night. (The Stagger from this show is also an all-timer).
The Other One
Dec. 16, 1978
Nashville Municipal Auditorium

FWIW, Jerr played both a TB500 with the 3 P90 single coils and the TB1000A with TB custom dual humbuckers that he gave to Ramrod and was auctioned not too long ago, I believe.
Bertha

Nashville Municipal Auditorium

Complete insanity that is so low. 3rd best version, after 4/24/78 and 9/4/83. Powdered versions or GTFO. Full stop. Original comment: “You’ve gotta listen to this one. Listen. Jerr throws in three bubbling leads in that first solo. I mean, ya gotta be paying attention. He’s going off, very subtly. Amazing.”
