China Cat Sunflower

Winterland Arena

A curious Cat peekin' through some Good Lovin'. Not an epic CCS per se, but the transitions in 'n out are as smooth as a Michael Jordan layup. Unique.

Doin' That Rag
March 1, 1969
Fillmore West

Not too much Tiny Tim and Jerry's solo blooms nicely.

Black Peter

Sacramento Memorial Auditorium

A slightly brisk and jaunty version that is smack-dab in the middle of a TOO. More bluesy rock than ponderous and Faulknerian (?).

China Cat Sunflower

Carousel Ballroom

Jerry's early tone is sweetly acerbic, and pleases like the burn from a swig of crisp Coke on a hot day. Seamless transition into 'The Eleven'.

Definitely a good one--a very good one.

Tight. The first solo is a good one.

Nice transition and even better soloing during the Fire. A more 'pure' version than that from 8 days later. Thanks for leading me to this one.

Thanks to 'Mandojammer' on the archive for leading me to this show via his 1984 project.

Gotta give this one the old bump. A nice, energetic show opener that features some good guitar work from Jerry. One listen will tell you this one is clearly underrated (as is 9/19/90).
