China Cat Sunflower
Jan. 2, 1972
Winterland Arena

A curious Cat peekin' through some Good Lovin'. Not an epic CCS per se, but the transitions in 'n out are as smooth as a Michael Jordan layup. Unique.

We can only wonder...

Doin' That Rag
March 1, 1969
Fillmore West

Not too much Tiny Tim and Jerry's solo blooms nicely.

Black Peter
Aug. 12, 1972
Sacramento Memorial Auditorium

A slightly brisk and jaunty version that is smack-dab in the middle of a TOO. More bluesy rock than ponderous and Faulknerian (?).

China Cat Sunflower

Carousel Ballroom

Jerry's early tone is sweetly acerbic, and pleases like the burn from a swig of crisp Coke on a hot day. Seamless transition into 'The Eleven'.

The Omni

Yup, 'Without a Net' proves that a compilation live release can be a great thing.
China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
Dec. 18, 1973
Curtis Hixon Convention Hall

Well worth hearing. Includes the 'Feelin' Groovy'-themed segue jam and they pull it off very well, as 'Feelin Groovy' segues can run the risk of sagging momentum. This whole show is worth checking out.

Curtis Hixon Convention Hall

In an era of dark supergiants this one comes in as a dwarf, of sorts, but packs a lot in--although it is mostly gentle. Check it out!

Nice tight version from a great show all-around.
Playin' In The Band

Dane County Coliseum

This show is an embarrassment of riches!
