As good as any BEW… bouncy laid back tempo, crispiest mix, not a note misplaced
Uncle John's Band

Capitol Theatre

Early dead shows understood how to construct an arc, with proper denouement from the ecstatic energy of the show. This UJB is one of the best examples. Capstone of what may be the best set ever (it has my vote). Beautifully harmonized, perfect gentle step down from the tsunami of SS > China > Rider. Don’t miss the lovely Judy Collins version of Pack Up Your Sorrows that follows as they unsuccessfully attempt to usher the crowd out of a 4+ hour monster night, easily amongst the best ever.
China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider

Unfortunate that many will naturally disregard this because of its year - I would put the energy and cohesion of this one up against any other. Critical sequence of what may be the best set ever: beautifully harmonized, perfectly executed, somehow sustains and elevates the energy coming out of a holy St Stephen. Perfection.

Glorious remaster of as clean & tight a version you’ll ever find - will definitely be climbing the ranks of the headiest
Dark Star

Nearly perfect mix, contemplative spacious dynamics, wide range of tight melodic themes. For those who prefer 69/70 dark stars, yes, this is as good as it gets.
