Very solid St Stephen that bleeds effortlessly into a raucous Eleven

Hits a nice mellow calypso jam, then shoots into a flurry of energy to reach a massive peak! Loving the new Dave's Picks release

Lesh takes the reigns about half way through and from then on, this one is pure magic. Very uplifting jam to close, then buttery segue into WRS

Stella Blue
June 17, 1972
Hollywood Bowl

Blown away that after all these years this was the first time i'd heard this. The mere idea of the first Stella being played during the last Pigpen show is dripping with symbolism. The fact that Pig adds a gorgeous organ texture to the song makes this a bonafide treasure. Track this down, spin it, and reminisce in a true transitive moment in the bands illustrious history
