Cumberland County Civic Center

Excellent energy and Jerry led jamming to start a smoking show

Good Lovin'
April 30, 1977
The Palladium

I typically find the post '72 versions of this song to be a bit of filler, but this one has some nice accents from Keith and some ramp-up ending chaw

Wharf Rat
Nov. 17, 1971
Albuquerque Civic Auditorium

Relatively short, given later incarnations, but this one has wonderful energy behind it, deliberate playing, and a delicate finish

Bertha
Dec. 10, 1973
Charlotte Coliseum

Jerry on his giddy up and RIDE for this show opener.

Easy Wind
Feb. 19, 1971
Capitol Theater

Some real bouncy blues and sharp Garcia licks. This one is fantastic
Promised Land
March 26, 1987
Hartford Civic Center

Even the Promised Land cranks in this show. Big ending peak and crowd is going bonkers
When Push Comes to Shove
March 26, 1987
Hartford Civic Center

On paper, this first set gets a "meh" and a shrug, but I cannot stop listening to it on the latest Dave's. Every song is given the proper treatment and the boys are ON. This song, one I never gave any real attention to, is played with power and joy. Now I wish they played it more often - has the bounce similar to "Might as Well" - I def dig it
Desolation Row
March 26, 1987
Hartford Civic Center

Perfectly executed
Touch of Grey
March 27, 1987
Civic Center

Epic moment, definitive version. Impossible to listen and not get tingly
