Jack Straw

Spartan Stadium - San Jose State University

Brent's 1st song with the band. Multiple Lesh bombs, rollicking drums, smoking Jerry licks, and impassioned vocals. Fine welcome to the band!

Goin' Down The Road Feelin' Bad
Oct. 16, 1981
Melkweg

This is a lightening fast bowl of nose clams, played 100x the speed of hyperspace. Worth it just to hear how fast the boys ventured to take this on

The Wheel

Melkweg

Not the longest, by any stretch, but incredibly airy and beautiful for Bobby's B-day. Worth a listen for sure

Feelin' Groovy Jam
Oct. 2, 1972
Springfield Civic Center

Super interesting jam out of a surprising Truckin' > NFBM jam > Drums > Feeling Groovy jam. The first few min of keys/drum/bass after drums is $$$$

Greatest Story Ever Told
Oct. 19, 1972
Fox Theatre

Seriously high octane. A very subtle St Stephen lick by Jerry in the closing jam

Dancin' in the Streets

Cape Cod Coliseum

Phil bombs ruined my living room. Definitive version
Comes A Time
July 17, 1976
Orpheum Theatre

The most unique 'Comes a Time' ever. 15 min of bliss
Morning Dew
Sept. 18, 1987
Madison Square Garden

Doesn't get much better than this. Jerry's voice and playing are so emotive. Great version. Some songs are better with a weathered Jerry voice of the late 80's early 90's. Dew is one of them. More fragile beauty and vulnerability than healthy early 70's versions.
Terrapin Station

The Omni

Love this version. Stir it up jam is the balls
Terrapin Station

Capital Centre

My go-to version. Incredibly creative jam
