Good Lovin'
April 30, 1977
The Palladium

I typically find the post '72 versions of this song to be a bit of filler, but this one has some nice accents from Keith and some ramp-up ending chaw

Wharf Rat

Albuquerque Civic Auditorium

Relatively short, given later incarnations, but this one has wonderful energy behind it, deliberate playing, and a delicate finish

The Drums is fine/good, but this one is great to cleary hear some spunion shout "holy fucking, SHIT!" on the SBD. Someone's mind = blown... Priceless

Bird Song

Giants Stadium

Very inspired playing. Jazzy swing from the rhythm devils, Lesh is barreling down the low end, and Jerry dancing the leads to a powerful conclusion

Uncle John's Band
March 23, 1974
Cow Palace

Notable for not only just the segues both in and out of these UJBs, but flowing jamming throughout the song segments themselves
Playin' In The Band
March 23, 1974
Cow Palace

Genuinely surprised to see how low this is rated. Aside from a rather comical false start, this leads off a major jam sandwich for the ages. This Playin' in particular is gooey, flowing, creative, and melodic. Just my kind of jamming for the song. Flows effortlessly into subsequent segues. Haven't respun in ages and this segment holds up perfectly, on new vinyl release no less!

I had a serious moment with this one last night... A complete emotional powerhouse. This version is everything
Loose Lucy
