It's been a while since i spun this one, and yeah, it is very apparent that Brent is the funkdoobiest MVP of this disgustingly stanky version. I mean hands down, everyone is locked in, but Brent is doing a lot of heavy lifting and the love light is shining brightly down on him. On closer inspection of this version, Bobby has a really interesting ~45-60 sec of a staccato lick mid jam that is really, really good, before he goes wah wah wash for the remainder of the jam. Its worth a close listen for that

I just did the Boise '83 vs. Creek '91 taste test for best church of latter day RR Blues. I have to say, I prefer this to Boise, despite that version being a relentless Jerry shredfest. Something about having Bruce in the house for this, him Jerry, and notably Bobby are just locked in and high gear. This one is just out of this world energy

Baltimore '77, the red-headed step child of the storied month. Not quite sure why though - it is a fine show and on par this precision and creativity of the month. This is a whopper of an opener, with Keith shining brightly on keys. Great way to kick off a show

This is a hopper. It follows a lot of the contours of the 12/29/77 version that cgarces has been pampin' a lot (deservedly, that one smokes). This starts of bouncy and mellow, then Jerry just keeps pushing, and pushing, until they hit a joyous peak. Very nice and in need of more up vote love!
