Promised Land

Nassau Coliseum

A charged version that starts off a triple-thread run for this massive second set.

This deserves to be on the map!

Deal
March 15, 1973
Nassau Coliseum

It swings to a funky swagger; Jerry is in top form here. I think it's the best Deal from the spring '73 tour!

Deal
Dec. 18, 1973
Curtis Hixon Convention Hall

It struts & swaggers in that honey, country-tinged '73 way that we've come to relish & rely on. From one of the best shows from one of the best years.

Easy Wind
May 7, 1970
DuPont Gym - MIT

A version all true heads should love, or at least hear once.

Row Jimmy
June 30, 1973
Universal Amphitheatre

I can hardly say enough about Jerry's vocals on this night. Just sweet and soulful. And his gentle solos on this one will rock you to and fro.
One More Saturday Night
June 30, 1973
Universal Amphitheatre

Caps the night off in fine fashion. My favorite version from '73 for sure.
Eyes Of The World
June 30, 1973
Universal Amphitheatre

This version is unique in that the minor key jam -"the coda" - is particularly long and exploratory. While not as tight and intense as others from the year (9/7, 10/29 & 11/11 come to mind), the charm of this one lies in the more mellow, loose and playful character.
Stella Blue
June 30, 1973
Universal Amphitheatre

This show encapsulates that mellow, jazz tinged psychedelic country-rock sound of 1973 that we've come to know and love. The ballads were particularly good on this night. A great one to spin on a dog day afternoon...
Black Peter

Universal Amphitheatre

Jerry's voice, to my ears, was particularly sweet and soulful on this night, and this version just fits the bill. Get the Matrix source!
