Has that great chugging rhythm of '71 versions. Keith (per usual) is a huge factor, but Billy's drumming is just as potent here. Awesome version!

Keith made all the difference turning this into a barrelhouse powerhouse. What a tremendous performance of a fun song.

This version soars thanks to Keith's dynamic piano work. You'd never know they'd only been playing JS for a month...great one.

Check out the cool China Cat jam leading into GDTRFB! Some pristine versions of NFA>GDTRFB from the Fall '71 tour - this one's no exception.

Closes a fantastic post-drums-space sequence. Just an all-around good one that benefits from the incredible momentum beforehand.

Playin' In The Band
June 16, 1974
Iowa State Fairgrounds

Great version with tons of experimentation that doesn't deserve that whole essay on why it sucks. Don't like it? Fine, no problem. But don't ruin the fun for others. Let people enjoy what they want to enjoy, y'know? It's not an insult to you (nor is it a disaster) if people like this version. On a lighter note, I can't think of any PITB that gets weirder than this one. The synths and breakdowns are thrilling for fans of noise rock, and the band's playing is top-notch. I love it!

Vince is a big part of this one. I love his contributions here - he's dabbling in madness right alongside Jerry.

^ If I were to guess, the "block" and "unfollow" buttons are in the same place as the "report" and "ban" buttons. That is to say, nowhere to be found. Ah well. At least this was a good reminder to give this show another listen sometime soon. :)

^ Eew. What a weird, creepy, and totally irrelevant thing to say. Hope you reconsider writing this and delete it soon.

Love this version - one of my favorites! Man, '71 had some great ones, didn't it?
