A hot version! T.C is a huge part of this one. Some real feisty organ textures all throughout, particularly toward the beginning and end of the jam.

I know there's a million of these, but WOW is this a spicy one. Big energy from the whole band. The audience is appreciative too.

Dirty, mean, sleazy, and slick. Some top-notch drumming here. Nice and ugly - just the way this song should be.

Bob and Jerry trade licks throughout, but it gets REAL hot toward the end. Twin country twangers absolutely killing it. Great one!

I read what you wrote before, dude. I'm fully aware of the context. No one attacked you, and no one IS attacking you. Someone disagreed with what you said back there. That's it - no hidden message or context. Take a step back, my man, and ponder whether or not it's worth getting THIS upset here.

Geez, guys. I don't get why some people get SO worked up over whether or not some people are "listening right" or whether people are "triggered" by different opinions. I don't think this one is the best ever, but if I wrote an entire essay detailing why everyone else is wrong about it, I'd be just asking for flippant responses. How about enjoying what you like, and letting others do the same without hassle?

^ Appreciate it, man. Yeah, I've seen that kind of aggressive stuff from said user before - racial slurs, insults, and everything else in between. It's not just him, though - I typically call behavior like that out on here and other assorted sites. I swear some people act like GD listeners NEED to be expert analysts who listen to the band 24/7, do extensive research on each note, and who have the exact same opinion as them on every version. Meanwhile, they're oblivious that people's understanding of the Grateful Dead (or any band, for that matter) comes in layers and spectrums, and that there is no "right" way to listen to the band or like a version. Luckily, I think most people realize that, but boy...every once in a while, you get someone who blows a gasket over how someone's "listening to it wrong." Anyway...that's all I had to say on that. Dude...while I appreciate that you edited and completely rewrote the original comment, I think my reaction is justified for the original one you left months ago. There's a big difference between being curious as to why people like a version - and calling people idiots for liking a version. Personally, I kind of agree that this one isn't a top-tier rendition, but that's the fun in sites like this - reading what other people have to say, offering support when there's a version that speaks to us personally, and not getting unreasonably aggressive because someone has preferences different than us.
