Dante, I agree with you. Nice jam but not top ten or close. This doesn't touch Nassau 79 or anything from 72, winterland 77 etc. It's a good jam for sure but I don't get the legendary status. Just me.

Good point about the no filler. The Rythem Devils are on their game. Mickey looks like a kilker. When I first got into the dead I had always herd bad things about this era. Because of this I can't stop researching 81-84. It's like they reinvented themselves.

I truly believe that standing on the moon is their most purest, finest, and honest song and this may be the finest version. I know no greater song in all of music. Hunters lyrics are beautiful honest and pure. Jerry plays and sings perect, phil is always in perfect tone and the drummers are in perfect rythem. There's something about this song that brings out something extra in this band. It's unique and special. I really feal that way.
