Feel Like A Stranger

Rosemont Horizon

Super hot show opener, Jerry is here to PLAY! Speedy licks all over. Possibly the best first set of the year, although totally unknown show.

The Spectrum

The very slow tempo that a lot of first set songs had in 1992 suits this one wonderfully.

Bird Song

Cal Expo

Probably the most underrated version in the history of Bird Songs. Incredible jazzy jamming from Jerry that peaks extremely hard.

Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Stadium

Just exactly perfect. Slow, emotive, and well-played. Jerry's old-man vocals fit this one perfectly.

Rich Stadium

Strong Jerry solo here.

Viola Lee Blues

hold on to your hat! The last few minutes of the jam are monstrous; more primal and psychedelic than later versions imo. This is the kind of music that turned on the first generation of heads, and yeah, it really was never the same after ~1968.

Giants Stadium

Absolute dogshit show; where did Jerry's awesome spacey playing here come from???
Terrapin Station

Shoreline Amphitheatre

Cool outro jam.

I'd call this version an ambitious failure. Spacey, but not in an interesting way, and the strumming jam at the end (which usually never fails to salvage even the weakest of 90s bird songs) doesn't come together at all. Not bad, but not worth an upvote.
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain

Yeah this is weak. Nice percussion for sure, and Vince is working his ass off (as he always did!), but Jerry's basically gone. impotent licks. Who are the 24 people that voted for this?
