Playin' In The Band
Sept. 2, 1985
Zoo Amphitheater

This one gets waaaaay out there with Jerry leading the charge. Don't think of '85 as an epic year, but this one's worth the 14 minutes!

They Love Each Other
Nov. 20, 1973
Denver Coliseum

Fast, bouncy TLEO -- absolutely nailed.

Wharf Rat
May 8, 1984
Silva Hall at the Hult Center

Can't believe this one's not up yet -- Terrapin > Drums > Space > Other One puddles into a beautiful Wharf Rat.

Brokedown Palace
May 8, 1984
Silva Hall at the Hult Center

This is the one devoted to Ken Kesey (in attendance) after the death of his son -- the most heartfelt you'll ever hear.

Picking up right where the previous night left off...

Drums -> Space
July 17, 1989
Alpine Valley Music Theatre

This one is far out for sure. One of the better 80s versions I've heard. But way fucking out there.
The Music Never Stopped
July 17, 1989
Alpine Valley Music Theatre

Love the little breakdown halfway through -- Brent and Jerry dominate this one.
Playin' In The Band
Aug. 6, 1974
Roosevelt Stadium

I just heard this for the first time this past weekend. I scored a bunch of tapes from a friend... the PitB jam and segue into Scarlet nearly broke my brain. It's WAY out there, and then they reel it in just enough into this almost primal jam and before you know it, Scarlet sneaks up on you. HIGHLY recommend this one, especially to jazz fans.
Dark Star
April 8, 1972
Wembley Empire Pool

Taking this one in for the first time now. Though it's 15 minutes shorter than Rotterdam, I think this one packs more of a punch. I SAY GOD DAMN!
Franklin's Tower
Oct. 9, 1976
Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Stadium

This is my favorite Franklin's, but my second favorite isn't even GD -- it's the 4/16/99 Franklin's Tower from Phil and Friends (w/ Trey, Page, and Kimock). BLISS: https://archive.org/details/1999-04-16.paf.sbd.miller.25296.sbeok.flacf
