Gorgeous soloing from Jerry and a tender vocal performance. The new mix on the Giants box really lets this one shine.

Bobby is dripping trippy chords all over the jam. SUBLIME

Surprised this has no votes. This version is played with a level of energy and precision CJ rarely ever got. Great set 2 opener.

Lyrically precise, energetic playing, and everyone sounds like they're enjoying themselves. What more could you ask for on this one?

The shorter versions need love to, and this one hits all the sweet spots.

Just because it's not epic in length doesn't mean it isn't super heavy and full of great ideas. Lovely version.

There are too many versions I like better to give this one an upvote, but Keith's piano fills on this version are worthy of mention.
China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider

Jerry does some very cool chordal jamming in the transition jam that struck me as fairly unique.

I really love this brief window when Keith and Pig are both playing actively. It's not the most epic version, but it does have fantastic vocals and a rich group sound on the instrumental portion.
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain

Winterland Arena

A cool version. As others have observed, it's quite mellow. But in that mellow space is a lot of creativity from Garcia/Lesh/Weir. The transition jam is full of delicate, unique passages — a pleasant energy current that runs through FOTM.
