Where some Brent-era Playin's are basically just Space with a beat, this one retains that Jazz-as-Rock spirit that made the best versions from '72-'74 soar. Everyone jams with real intent, especially Brent, who seems to be challenging Jerry to explore new spaces the deeper they go. Immensely underrated.

Around 5:50, Jerry and Phil lock into a very nice groove that I don't think I've heard in other versions. It's a very subtle peak, but it's a solid highlight in a generally fine reading of this tune.
