Candyman

Giants Stadium

Gorgeous soloing from Jerry and a tender vocal performance. The new mix on the Giants box really lets this one shine.

Bobby is dripping trippy chords all over the jam. SUBLIME

Surprised this has no votes. This version is played with a level of energy and precision CJ rarely ever got. Great set 2 opener.

El Paso

Felt Forum, Madison Square Garden

Lyrically precise, energetic playing, and everyone sounds like they're enjoying themselves. What more could you ask for on this one?

The shorter versions need love to, and this one hits all the sweet spots.

Ramble On Rose
Dec. 31, 1978
Winterland Arena

A few steps beyond Just Exactly Perfect. Jerry's main solo is hair-raising stuff.
Row Jimmy
Sept. 16, 1978
Sphinx Theatre

Easily Weir's best slide work of the 70s. The general vibe of these Egypt shows lends itself so well to Row Jimmy.
El Paso
Sept. 16, 1978
Sphinx Theatre

Upvoted for the ladies absolutely hollering at Bobby for the duration of the song. He must have had his Mojo working overtime that night.
Eyes Of The World
Sept. 15, 1978
Sphinx Theatre

It sounds like they've never played it before, and I mean that in the best way possible. The sound we're more familiar with is the superior approach, but this is a great example of the band being adaptable and playing to the uniqueness of the environment.
Estimated Prophet
Sept. 15, 1978
Sphinx Theatre

This is a unique version -- slower and more mellow without feeling lethargic. Bob seems particularly inspired on guitar here. Not quite an all-timer, but certainly worth hearing.
