Agree that Slip is the hero here, but Jerry also plays a lot of interesting lines on Franklin's.

A lot of creative leads on this one. As others have noted, joyfully sung. There are similar versions with a little bit more stank on them, but this one has a certain bounce that makes it distinct. Worthy of seeking out.

This version is a lot of fun, but I think the video carries its reputation. On tape it's sloppier than a lot of other high-octane versions from Fall '77 or other '78 shows. The Wharf Rat that follows is much better
