Giants Stadium

Gorgeous soloing from Jerry and a tender vocal performance. The new mix on the Giants box really lets this one shine.

Bobby is dripping trippy chords all over the jam. SUBLIME

Surprised this has no votes. This version is played with a level of energy and precision CJ rarely ever got. Great set 2 opener.

Felt Forum, Madison Square Garden

Lyrically precise, energetic playing, and everyone sounds like they're enjoying themselves. What more could you ask for on this one?

The shorter versions need love to, and this one hits all the sweet spots.

Sugaree
May 19, 1977
Fox Theatre

The third jam is so joyful and creative. They practically build a brand new song on top of Sugaree. In a month filled with stellar performances of this song, this one is tops.
Help On The Way > Slipknot > Franklin's Tower

War Memorial

Great American Music Hall is still the GOAT, but there's no way you'll put this one on and have a bad time.
Good Lovin'
May 5, 1977
New Haven Coliseum

When we're talking '76-'78, I almost always prefer Good Lovin and Bertha when they're separated from one another. This one flows nicely out of a pretty hot FOTM and re-channels that energy into a very satisfying rocker. Worth seeking out, but only as part of Scarlet>Fire>GL suite.

New Haven Coliseum

Some of the slower/monotonous songs can present challenges, especially when it comes to getting the whole band on the same page. Not here. Everyone is in sync and Jerry is on fire, rendering a gorgeous version that soars above others on all fronts. This is the GOAT right here.

Bob's guitar work here is brilliant.
