Excellent Show
This and 10/27 are the two best post-Brent shows for me. GREAT setlist - "Jack Straw" to open, "Candyman," "Box," "Eyes," "Attics." Those alone make the show for me. Everyone is pretty on point. I do agree that the accordion is a bit jarring on "Brokedown Palace," though Jerry gives it a lovely rendition.

love the memories
I love reading the reviews for people's memories of the particular concert - thank you, Clark Griswold - funny stuff - and I like Bruce Hornsby's accordion playing - very mariachi -

vg show for most part
Vg show overall. Though he's a wonderful player in general, Horsnby leaves me scratching my head some times. He absolutely butchers what could have been a beautiful BROKEDOWN PALACE, with his aggressive, loud and staccato accordian playing. Sometimes he just sticks out too much when he could do more service to the group by blending (or, in this case, not choosing a mid-heavy inappropriate instrument).

Hot '91 Run Not Done Yet!
Sound Quality is excellent, Jerry's Bruce Hornsby power boost still has a few weeks left in it, and Bruce is straight killin it. The Power of Bruce compels you to dig even PMoon!

will always remember
the music was great--high as a kite- got thrown out for blazing, but thought I could sneak back in, I ended up in an old unused "t" stop that was off limits--there was concrete blocks and tools on the floor and through a crack in the wall we (about 10 people had followed me) could see lights and hear music--we pushed through the wall using random tools and gained access to a backstage corridor where we were all arrested and charged with various shit--all of this was before the second set and I spent the rest of the show trippin balls in the south station lockup---listened to and loved "brokedown palace"- the charges were dropped b-cuz when my court date arrived the garden was in the process of being torn down and no one representing the garden appeared--breaking in was kinda shitty, yeah, but it is still a great memory

Not sure why...
Someone would only rate this 3 stars. This is a most lilting and beautiful show. Magical. Great song selection. Guess it depends on personal preferences, but after 300 shows (1st in 81) and about 1000 hours, I consider it one of the best of the latter era. Eat a cap, play this show and the meditation flows very freely. ✌ ♥

the best
saw 100++ shows in this era and all six of these Boston beauty's and this was my absolute favorite probably mostly because of the song list but completely rockin to boot and I'm glad I'm not the only one who heard the St. Steven tease during Dark Star. Still searching for the cryptical tease after eyes though. Oh well I guess you might want to listen to this one anyway.

Fantastic Show!!
Yeah, I was there.
Purple windowpane blurs the specifics over 15 years later, but this one was special.
It was something like my 50th show and it was the first time I'd ever seen them play Dark Star (and the last)and WHAT a Dark Star- MAN. When I heard those first few notes it was pure heaven.
Cold Rain & Snow, Box of Rain, Dark Star, St. Circ, Eyes, Attics, Brokedown AND the last ever We Bid You G'Nite and this one's in my all time fav 3, of those that I was fortunate enough to be able to attend anyway.
Great sound on this- was able to DL it before the greed/insanity set in. Shit never would have happened if Jerry was still alive, but I digress....
And now the topper- ran into my cousin from San Fran in a bar after the show- a cousin who I hadn't seen since the MSG shows years before and who just happened to have a broken motorcycle and nowhere to stay. Needless to say he made it home just fine.......
Nothin left to do but smile smile smile

Transitive nightfall of diamonds in Boston
I remember seeing this set list in Duprees Diamond News and just flipping out. Within a week I think I got a tape of this, and a few other nights of the fall 91 tour. The first set is solid, but the second set is nothing short of magic.

The correct source info for this is SBD>Dat>Cm>Dat>CD. I can confirm 100% that this is not a DSBD...but it still is a great recording...cm

Huh?
Well first off, the FINAL Grateful Dead show at the Boston Garden was 10/3/94. Believe it or not, they were supposed to be the final band to EVER play the Garden before they tore it down to build the Fleetcenter. We were psyched to get our wristbands for the Fall 1995 tour. They were scheduled to be given out at
3:00 PM on August 9, 1995. Needless to say, they were never given out. Long Live the Dead and especially Garcia!!
BTW, this is a GREAT show! Haven't heard this source but I went to the show - my first was DP 17, the night before - and I left these shows a changed man. Thanks to all!!
P.S. Giving a 4 star rating based on memories of what I 'saw' if you will *LOL* I will listen and posssibly change the rating!
Keep on Keepin' On!!!

Fluttergarc
There was some serious flutter going on with the vocals at this show. Its called Halls Menthylptus, available in your grocer's candy aisle. Invest in some. The first three songs of the first set are pretty dang good though. "Wang Dang Doodle" is exemplary.

This is not the final GD Boston Garden show. The St. Eyes was good but the Eyes acoustic Looks Like Rain a couple of years later was better. Your welcome, by the way.

Great night at the Garden
I saw the boys about 75 times from 1987 - 1995.
This was without a doubt my favorite night of them all. There was a moment there at the end of second verse of Dark Star out of Space where I really thought they were about to leap into St. Stephen, but alas ...
I had a bad quality tape and a bad quality MP3 version ... this sounds great.
