Great solid setlist, the next show Sept 7 was great, and the end of the tour, then two shows combine wrap it up nicely with a big song selection.

This is a very solid show. And to think, they still had the Faigrounds show. I love the 80's

Subject: Fabulous Show !!! I Consider This AUD an FOB Too.
Subject: Fabulous Show !!! I Consider This AUD an FOB Too.
This is just an incredible show with good sound! I decided about half way through I'd better listen to the whole thing, before I pronounced what I was
...
hoping I could pronounce below. BTW, check out the Tim Friend recording. It is an incredible capture.
Upon first hearing this recording, I was impressed with its quality: rich and warm with good range. I put the placement just in front of the board and fairly centered, which gives it a hint of air and a bit of midrange. U.S. Blues is blemished on this copy. I think the Wise FOB is also better, overall, with no cut in U.S. Blues. Bobby is in good spirits from his joking around before the opener... and it shows during Stranger. The Aug.19th Uptown Stranger is one of my favorites, and Bobby just about equals it. The added sound quality of this AUD places it "Even Steven" with the 19th. But what I find very rewarding about streaming this night is that both Bob AND Jerry are in good voice. That is a BIG plus. I was kind of disappointed about Sept. 3rd and how they were singing. Not quite sure what it was about them both sounding so good on the 31st, 2nd, and 4th...but not the 3rd? They seemed a little more relaxed tonight. Oh Well. Three out of four ain't bad.
Just the same kids, don't remember a Peggy-O ever placed second in a first set. It's usually fourth or fifth. It's a pretty damned good one. A half-dozen songs in and it starts to feel as though the X factor is just hanging out, back stage, waiting to emerge from behind the curtain... until Far From Me kills it. :-( Wait a minute, hear comes China Cat > IKYR. Can they get it back on track? Hmm. Not bad to end set one. Jerry's little extra flurish at the end of Rider is nice. But the questioned outcome for the night, after this excellent 1st set, is still uncertain.
The Boyz deliver a nice pair to open the second. And the Supp Jam is a complete surprise! Alas, they didn't take it anywhere (I was really hopin' it was going to go on a little longer and slide seamlessly into Estimated. Nice try anyway Guyz.) But the Estimated > Eyes is very good after that! So, guess who finally steps out from behing the curtain. That's right. The post Drumz of OO > WR > GDTRFB > Good Lovin' is a white-hot smoker ! With U.S. Blues as the Encore -- you couldn't get much better than that! Wow ! This is the "real deal" folks. And I thought the 31st and 2nd were incredible ! This one is JUST as incredible ! A phenominal show in a phenominal week of shows. Too Much Of This Is Just Enough ! GOD I LOVE 1980 !!!
