Subject: FOTD

Okay recording, but a very, very nice Friend of the Devil was played on this particular evening. Great guitar work that would carry over into the first portion of El Paso.

lol....I was there too....and yes we were both on acid and yes they did wear masks on Werewolve's....lol...I was on front rail....brutally hot in the joint....omg.....the best era for the dead in my opinion.....bias I guess...

Subject: My 2nd Dead show

This was my 2nd Dead show. My first was back in November '77 in Rochester and became Dick's Picks Vol. 34. I vaguely recall a wild ride from Geneva (where I was attending Hobart College at the time)to Syracuse for the show. A bunch of my friends and I ended up at one of those greasy spoons pre-concert. It was right out of that skit that was popular on SNL at the time - remember "Coke, no Pepsi?" Anyway, hearing the boys cover the Warren Zevon classic for the first time (Werewolves of London) was worth the price of admission. I recall some of the band members wearing masks (or was I just dose-ing!)

i've always had the 1st set of this on cassette. not the 2nd. don't know why ....but it did get a lot of airtime ,though. i always loved the 1st set. but it has been years since i've heard it. and set2 looks mighty fun. dl'ing this now ,for tomorrow's 30th anniversary. looking very much forward to celebrating this tomorrow. ya'll should ,too.

Subject: Wait for a better recording

This is a crummy audience and only for those that went and are nostalgic - The show sounds great but this is tough to listen to at first but trust me it grows on you. Dancin crushes it and there is a great space>NFA. Picks up steam as it cruises along and I can see why folks liked this so much.

Subject: At long last!!

This was one of the very first tapes I owned. I haven't downloaded this yet that's why I gave 4 stars and not five. Its been forever since I've heard it. Ship of Fools, Dancin', NFA, Warewolves were all KICKIN! from what I remember. I had a multiple gen. AUD that didn't sound great-I hope this is a little better.
