pants, Jerry!!) tour in late July and then it was the scare of the summer if you all recall. He went down BIG TIME. He came back all mean and lean again, though. Thinned down and rarin' to go. Moving and swaying w/ the music--it was beautiful.....These December shows were some very cherished tapes back in those days. I only had the first set this night--Jerry is just bursting @ the seams out of the gate. Beauty of a FOTD. A lil' different sounding Dead for a few shows around this time. Crisp and energetic playing, but slow roasted....
