He's Back!!
These were some of the first shows Jerry played after dying--again!!!YIKES! I saw him for the Cal Expo and Shoreline 50th Birthday Jerry Garcia Band (nice pants, Jerry!!) tour in late July and then it was the scare of the summer if you all recall. He went down BIG TIME. He came back all mean and lean again, though. Thinned down and rarin' to go. Moving and swaying w/ the music--it was beautiful.....These December shows were some very cherished tapes back in those days. I only had the first set this night--Jerry is just bursting @ the seams out of the gate. Beauty of a FOTD. A lil' different sounding Dead for a few shows around this time. Crisp and energetic playing, but slow roasted....

Sat Down in O-Town
This is a good recording and a good performance. The entire Oakland Arena run is good Grateful Dead. Vince is assertive on keyboards and singing and really stands out. On all shows of this run there are not many major glitches and anomalies. The overall sound is majestic and the playing is energized.

Oakland, the 90's ...nothing flashy ...
Great clarity and decent mix ....so after 25yrs or so , they slow down and get a little more contemplative and soulful ? Especially at the home shows of Oakland , but they were the pros still , and gave us a real good time....

STANDING ON THE MOON
Jerry kind of struggles with his words in part of the song but he gets it together on the solo. this solo is absolutly beautiful. A pretty good show with good sound.

GREAT SOUND
Jerry's strings are felt not heard during bertha. Set list not amazing although the sound quality makes up for it.

great show
This is my good friend bigham,s first bootleg, with whom i got most of my first bootlegs from a long time ago. He turned me on to this show for the exceptional crazy fingers and standing on the moon. Both are worth the down load alone and great sound quality all the way through.
Thanks Bigham
