great show, excellent source
was gonna round up to 5 stars because its '87 and expectations are sketchy -- but regardless a very strong show w/ great versions of peggy-o and row jimmy
...
for jerry and bucket and good lovin' for bob (bobby very 'on' this show)... superior ensemble playing throughout -- going through all of '87 and looking forward to hearing more...

The longest post 'run & see' outro guitar break/jam in years.Might not be totally ripping hot but he's not hanging back his way through it either.

Reminiscent of the peters from late 77/78 and occasionally( not as consistently) in 79-81 The 2 Peters after the post coma return are very good, 12/15 or 16/86 and then the one during the new years run. while the outro jam isnt as long they are both good. AS far as the song as a whole both of those are done well with obvious emotion

harmonies with Bobby and Brent, along with the determined, emphatic playing of the rest of the band, makes this one rich with feelins. the reviewer who mentioned Jerry's added sensitivity with the "death" and loneliness ballads after the coma, had a good point!

Why not '78? Or let's make it good and clean and say, '79 so we can put the marker at K&D's departure. Personally, I beleive that after 12-31-77 (or whatever dateline certain reviewers choose) the incredible music GD continued to create no longer fit into certain reviewer's limited scope of perception and willingness to grow. Yes the '80's were flawed, Jerry's voice is painful, and Brent does get annoying at times, but this show as well as most of the '80's output is more than offset by stellar performances and daring new sonic territories explored. Try 6-21-89. ..... Of course, all of this is IMHO!!!

end of the second set. After Jerry's coma you definetely notice a new outlook in the way he sings any songs relating to death, no exception to this one. Get this show for the Black Peter! And if ur a fan of booming bass that will make you piss yourself, get this show for the Scarlet>Fire.
