You guys are nuts. Take it as it is, a great, tight performance from the greatest musical tribe to have ever been. They're old in 93. They weren't spring

chickens, and anyone disapointed that in 93 they couldn't replicate 73 is asinine.

Nothing Too Wrong With This Show
It's a little restrained and wan, but definitely tightly-played. No great energy, but Jerry's really picking cleanly and much of the obvious decay in his

last two years is absent. Had I attended this show, I would not have felt cheated in the least.

Painful
Sadly I walked out at the end of this show and never saw the band live again. I missed some good subsequent runs and in the long run I regret never going

back. But this night made me think the band was not worth seeing any more.I have thought about this show many times since and wondered if it was as bad as I remebered. Jerry was in bad shape and band was going through the motions. They are entitled to and off night and maybe this was it. I just wish I wasn't there to see it. I had some of my best nights and I appreciate them all but this night made me want to never see them again to tarnish my good memories. I may be wrong but that is how this night made me feel. Again I regret my reaction. Maybe thats why I am catching every show I can on this new dead tour. Its not the same but it sure feels good.

Only stayed for the first three nights but let me say they were solid shows. Not as good as nikerbocker but still fun and worth the listen.

Spring 93'
This Show had its moments nice setlist. But I tend to look at this nassua run in as whole. Picking some of the best individual performances from any of

the four nights and you really have some powerhose performances. The Standout for me this night is The Sugar Mags. Bobby and jerry really nail the Intro and Garcia has a wounderful Country TwANG. Also what I like about this version and 93 in General is That Garcia really is doing alot between the solos hitting those classic chords between the vocals. Thats what really gives this version its Kick plus multiple Phil Bombs and a blistering solo before SSDD.

Well, after having heard this show, I am not too upset that I missed Nassau 93. Garcia sounds uninspired at times this particular evening. The Second set

looks great, but it doesn't hold up upon listening to it. However, I will say that the Playin Jam is pretty awesome!! Spring 93 had someone doing something to the vocals. It is very noticable on the Charlotte, Knickerbocker, and these Nassau shows. It is flange'esque, or pitch shifty....

Sloppy
Real sloppy show...they don't get out of the gate until Let it Grow, but the 2nd set (while looking good on paper) is uninspired. Also- strange flange-type

sound on all the vocals in this recording.

This show was ok. It was the first back in the NYC area in a quite awhile and there was a great buzz that Garcia had kicked some demons and also dropped

about 50lbs. Highlight of the show was Lazy River Road, and an emotional Standing on the Moon.
