This was my first, last, and only time in the Phil zone and I was definitely full of shrooms. I do remember that the first set was a burner, with what

I thought was a HOT R on R. And I hadn't had one before. I had seen the Dead exactly one year earlier, in Albany when they played Casey Jones to close the first set on my birthday.
This show had many highlights, including a really awesome Picasso and Black Throated Wind. Bobby was in top form and so was Phil. Like I said, I was in the Phil zone, so it was pretty chill and intense.

I am listening to every 1994 show in order, mining for gold.
Bruce sits in on accordion only. Yuck! Very good first set though. Decent stabs at all the ... tunes, but Jerry really isn't with it. Many little errors and forgotten lyrics, but this show gets good. And oh man, what a Black-Throated Wind! Bobby really hits this out of the park. Very emotional. Love the Picasso Moon with Bruce. Very cool Space. Really beautify Attics. Overall, a show to be proud of, on '94's terms.

Also a very good show for 94. Picasso and Corrina in the same show! Hard to beat that! Hold the rocks, please, deadheads...

I took an old friend to his first show on this night, and upon walking in I was pleased to see the extra microphone indicating a special guest. Bruce on

accordion is a welcome addition, though I agree his presence on piano would have been even better.
Things start off nicely with Help>Slip>Frank, which included a short but powerful segment in the Slipknot and plenty of crowd energy, which is ever-present throughout the show. Unfortunately, Jerry decides he doesn't want to solo during most of the Frankiln's so we get an accordion solo and a bit of Vinny. Jerry finally comes in at the end, lifting the version up to respectability.
This was a trend for the rest of the night-Jerry just wasn't particularly in the mood. Black Throated Wind is pretty good and Jerry's definitely into Ramble on Rose, but Eternity and Don't Ease aren't the hottest way to end a set.
Second set never really rises above mediocore, with the exception of an interesting post-Corrina jam led by Bruce.
The Weight was really well delivered at the least, a nice sendoff to one of the weaker nights of this run.
Uninspired playing of an uninspired setlist.

Couldn't agree more with Unbroken Chain. This place was always pretty high energy. There ain't nothing like a NYC crowd. This venue really held the boys

to perform at a higher standard than they did in a lot of other places. The 3-24-94 and 3-27-94 nights are proof of that. As are countless other Nassau shows. Jerry really keeps his focus and chops up.
Sound on this one ain't very great, but it's listenable.
Bruce on accordion the whole show. Too bad it couldn't have been a piano. Oh well.
