I, too, was at this show. And at the time I was not too impressed. We drove from Tempe to San Diego (during finals weeks, no less) and back in a single

24 hour period. Anyway, we were left with that "eh?" feeling during and after the show. Listening to it 12 years later (Archive and Aizen I love you) I'm impressed with the BEW, especially Jer's long-ass solo. Stranger opener not too shabby either. New tunes okay, for what they were. Cheese-a-thon actually had promise. Second set is straight-ahead humdrum. LSD never did it for me, and in the case the song leads the way for a truncated and shifty set. I remember at the time rolling my eyes at the entire post-drums. We coulda gone to Del-Taco instead. Ooooooh Freedom. Love that '93 twang tho!FOB aud will suffice for now - gives it that ol' bootie feel - 2.5/5 with a nod towards a 3

out of gas
If the sound is bad, don't blame healy, blame the SD sports arena- it's one step above the minor league hockey arenas feature in the movie Slap Shot. They

seem to run out of gas. Liberty, last time and broken arrow all repeated from the LA shows days before. They close with throwing stones. Nothing to write home about. Revise: actually I stand corrected on a few issues because of a few tunes in set 1. the Feel lIke a Stranger is a beast. Top 5 in my book. No kidding. Also, the easy Answers is the best version I have heard or seen. Not a big fan of that tune but this night it really moves mainly(and damn my kids to a junior college for saying this) because of Vince. He does some nice stuff on this tune, which was hardly a fav among heads. No revisions on set 2. it still blows

Like the other fellow, I hope I'm not in the minority!
Unlike apparently, the other two reviewers, I was at this show. Although some of the versions were not that great, I was very happy with the

song list, as well as the day before. At least the rarer tunes, (besides those), I'd agree to some extent, ie. I'd been yawnin' at the generic tunes for years by this point, therefore virtually any rare/different tunes were welcome to me. Obviously we have different taste. However it's been a while since I listened to this and I haven't many times. Moreover, I was quite lucky given my circumstances to be able to attend any shows at this time, hence that could skew my perception. So I'm going to recheck it! Augy San Diego

I picked this show at random because I wanted to practics Broken Arrow, and I also found one of the best Way to go Home's. Love this show. Probably

wouldn't have appreciated it much at the time. But this archive entry has good sound and documents a pretty "on" night for the band. I'll give it 3 stars.

unpopular review???
well, I hope I'm not in the minority on this one, but I think this show is a stinker, esp. the setlist... Stranger is played well, as is Ramble on Rose,
...
but the Same Thing is terrible...BEW is sloppy, and then we fall into the likes of Broken Arrow and Easy Answers...not even Half-Step can revive the first set after these two massive duds. LSD to start the second set gives us some promise (albeit a lackluster version), then we get Women are Smarter (blah) and Way to Go Home to put us to sleep... Eyes is at best okay, and I recommend ending your listening/downloading here... Last Time>Days Bewteen>T. Stones, then Liberty as an encore??!! yuck
