5 of my best friends and, a cold wind was blowing. We all dropped massive amount of lsd. Only 3 of us had tickets. Highest nose bleed seats in the house.
...
We tripped our balls off up there. The floor was alive, color everywhere. Saw a woman breast feeding her child in the hallway.

Everyone always has a different take on each GD show, but I really think this one is worth listening to, with plenty of juice along the way. The first

few songs are a bit rusty but then, I think, it finds its stride. See for yourself at least.

This show was the begining of the end for me. I agree with the previous reviewer about how the show (and Jerry) were quite lackluster. Sometimes it would
...
take 4-5 songs until Jerry was warmed up enough to play a decent solo at this point. There are some gems that they played here and there until Jerry passed, but this isn't one of them.

Subject: Thats how good this band was
This was my first show. I knew nothing about the GD going in and I wanted to know everything going out. Our seats were terrible, the ride home was long,
...
but the music that night was inspiring.
Then I grew up, the band died and bootlegs were all I have. (sorry but jam bands just don't measure up) So after many bootlegs I find my first show and listen to it and I am shocked. This is probablly the worst representation of the GD ever. Jerry sounds like he is going to pass out on stage as his hand can barely move up and down the neck. His solo on Bertha sounds like he has used up all his licks the night before and all that is left is piecmeal noodling leftovers from the night before. Bobby sounds tired, and Bruce is the only saving grace.
I guess my point is that that is how good this band was, even if the music sucked, the power of their amplification and control over the crowd could really be convincing in the moment. Enough so that you wanted more. The more you knew the more you listened, and hence the more you wanted.
Just thoughts.

My good friend was at this show while I wandered about outside. He said it was spectacular and since he's no longer with us, I have to leave it at that.
...
This was also the night I truly merged onto the golden road...a very high time to say the least!
