talking during TLMD
The talking so close to the mic's during To Lay Me Down is a major buzz-kill. (Great- now I know that some jabroni missed his bus by 10 seconds on the
...
way to the show.) But other than that a very clear recording from a sweet spot, but picked up mostly high end and not enough bass imo. This is not a SBD source.

really love this. It was all like this was done with ferverent disregard for impurities just to sit back decades later to relive the whole dead scene before it went away. worked a few dead shows and attended others, just made me feel a little more like i was trying to be carefully quite myself and tune in to every moment, soaking up the vibe around. Miss it so!

Excellent show in general my opinion. Jerry sounds seriously high though, and in 'rider' he sounds like he's about to faint when he sings. Always makes

Good show with recording difficulties
As I've said in other reviews, these acoustic sets of the Warfield and Radio City shows are fabulous, a period of renewal and growth, reaching back to

songs they hadn't played in 10 years and creating yet another new Grateful Dead sound. The accoustic set isn't as good as some of the others of these runs. Jerry has some vocal problems on Bird Song, Bob stumbles once or twice. But the performance overall is good; the harmonies in Ripple are beautiful. The second set is quite good, with tight performances and good vocals. There's a bouncy Brown-Eyed Women and All Over Now, with nice harmony. Nice China Cat->Rider. The third set gets serious. Check out the introspetive Garcia solo after Terrapin into drums. The Space is also interesting. Truckin isn't all that inspired, but it's followed by a strong Wharf Rat. This recording has overall good audio quality, but there are some sound problems in the first set, patches of low-quality audience recordings, and nasty cuts (we only get about 10 seconds of Ain't No Lie).
This Warfield run along with the Radio City shows are historic for their acoustic sets. The sound quality on these Warfield soundboards are equal to that

found on Reckoning. The other reviewers are right, there are defects but the majority of the tracks are stellar. Personally, I think all these shows are worthy of downloading. Vintage Grateful Dead!

stay up late, stacking beer bottles into pyramids and waiting for the buzz to wear off...Well, that's been known to happen. Getting to business... Sound levels vary slightly in this download and Jerry's guitar sounds very fuzzy at times- good fuzzy though. Overall the sound is superior to others. The second set is more impressive than the third set but I have only listened to this show a couple of times. Candyman is super sweet...Four Skulls just for that!

Good Stuff - But Some Pain Too
I just burned this show, and overall I like it but there are some brutal moments that force me to downgrade. First of all, the To Lay Me Down is an audience

with some maroon talking about his trouble catching the bus loud and clear as the song peaks. So brutal I had to skip ahead. Then Oh, Babe it Ain't no Lie basically isn't there, and Ripple cuts in about 1/3 (?) of the way through. The First Electric Set starts off tough b/c Jerry is having equipment trouble. His guitar sound is pained up through about half way of BEW - like the guitar was fighting him every note of the way. The balance of the recording does sound excellent - crystal clear. But the defects are rough.
