Nice show which picks up speed as it moves along. The first set is a little choppy but certainly not rushed. Second set really picks up after the Drums with Wharfrat being my highlight. Jerry on top of his game. Gimme Some Lovin' shows the whole band getting in sync. Heaven's Door was never my favorite encore, but this one moves along beautifully with room for everyone to express themselves. Definitely gets me excited to listen to the next two nights.

This was my first bay area show..There was an hilarious scene with San Francisco"s Finest in the Happy Donut on Haight St. earlier that day :)...As for the Show? I was really tripping and don't remember much but "The Last Time" and "Cassidy"....

these shows were so much fun.. the vibe in the lot and coliseum was burning bright. this was a bevy period being a head.. always drama, cops and the hordes of people on tour. the song choices were conveying messages... "take what you can gather from coincidence" and all that.
I remember the song starting and walking through the hallways half dancing half walking and seeing people openly weeping with the recognition of the lyrics.

Wasn't one of their better shows for 90 just warming up maybe.Gotta burning question though Isn't this the first time for Last Time? Probably take the time to research it later but this show was a good springboard for Spring Tour. Not much more both the Eyes and Wheel were way short and uninspiring like both songs tend to be when Jerry puts it out there. as for performance 3 sound 5

Rooster is angry and Heaven's door is beautiful with him on the B. These solos during the Spring and Summer '90 speak volumes as to what he was going thru in his personal life. See Rooster from 3/30/90 RIP

Very solid version of Just a Little Light ... an under-appreciated song in the Dead's oeuvre. This also leads to the highlight of the show ... Estimated Prophet, which features energetic vocals by Bobby and a dreamy jam to take it home. You can tell that Jerry doesn't quite want it to end as he's the last to fully join Eyes of the World.

I wasn't at these shows, and that may be why these shows (2/25, 2/26, and 2/27) don't really stick out to me as good as the rest of Spring Tour 90.
There is some decent moments here. The Little Red Rooster, as mentioned, is pretty good. The Last Time, not one of my favorites, has a little groove. Bobby has some pretty good rock star chords on his anthem, Sugar Mag.
Even with Charlie Miller's wonderful as usual remix, I really don't like the way this soundboard has been mixed. The vocals are way too up front, the rhythm section way to far back, and Mickey Hart appears to have a drum miked extra loud. The mix distracts me from the music.
Not a bad show, but to me there is little here to keep interested.

This is the best source imho. Thank you Charlie Miller, as always. I have to say, this is one of the finest Wheels I have heard - certainly from their later era. It is special, despite the tear part of the band had for a moment there. After listening to all of 1989, I can tell Spring of 1990 will be even better. The energy of this show proves something snappier is to come. One of the best song selections of their later era as well, might I add.
