Hit and miss
Hey, who can complain about a Shakedown>Samson 2nd set anyway. Recording is excellent.
But the 2nd set kinda withers out after space with a big lyric botch by Weir in Watchtower and a shaky Stella with missed chords/lyrics. 1993 was a long year and too many shows for the old guys.

very chilly indeed
Pretty good show overall. setlists and playing were both appreciated. can't state enough how i hate I fought the law as an encore, especially since I got it 3 shows before in LA. This was the start of the "cruise control" sets filled with new material.

Chilly Night in San Diego
I was at this show, having driven halfway down the California coast to meet a friend and see both nights at San Diego. I remember a chilly evening outside and a toasty evening inside the sardine can that is the San Diego Sports Arena. There were a lot of folks on this night who seemed very intent on getting intoxicated -- and I felt the Shakedown second set opener was meant for them. The parking lot was one massive scene of ticketless hoardes, vendors, and cops. Those of us who got inside saw a surprisingly good show, or at least a solid second set. I was never able to trade for a soundboard of this one, so I'm thrilled to find one here on the archive! I've downloaded it and listened to it and it's very clear - and very worth getting.
