-- Set 2 is seamless

The band was experimenting at this time with Beat it/Promised, followed by a Jerry tune to close the set. Bob was not about to call the set at the end
...
of Promised.

Early Ultramatrix. End of 1st set is a white-hot rager
I prefer the FOB sources for these late 1986/early 1987 shows, rather than the Healy mixes, because Healy was still experimenting with the mixes he was

committing to tape. They got better as 1987 went on. As for this show, well, the big clue here is that they kept going after "Promised Land", which is almost always a set closer in the later Brent era. Then you might notice it's preceded by ANOTHER Bobby song, which is rare. Then if you listen, you realize it's one of those off-the-rails versions of BIODTL, with about 100 beats to kick it off, and Bobby going absolutely bananas. The add-on after the supposed set closer turns out to be "China/Rider", rapidly initiated by Jerry before Bobby can announce the setbreak. Good versions, too. 2nd set maintains the energy, even though Jerry has some issues remembering verses during "Ship of Fools". Another 2-Bobby-in-a-row with a "Truckin" that suddenly sails out of the "Estimated" outro jamming, which was full of even more solid Jerry action. If you are doing 1987, this is NOT a show to race through (or skip)

Bland Run..
These are some beautiful sounding recordings of this 3 night run but it's too bad the boys just didn't bring it. Bobby struggles through the first 2 nights
...
and unfortunately this night is no different..I can only imagine the songs he can remember this night like BIODTL and T Stones were sung so over the top just out of frustration.
