Subject: Nice one but NOT the best SOTM...or show of year
Best one I heard, go listen to this, cm will agree, see 9/26/1993 Boston Garden-best SOTM with Healy on the SBD, though cm's SBDmix is better. That is
...
"thee SOTMoon" that is the what you judge all Standing on the Moon's in comparison too.
I'm also biased to the final one I saw 6.30.1995, the final one_Three Rivers Stadium(RIP) Pittsburgh,PA. From the 10th row, soaked from head to toe, with a pocket full of paper that I hadn't intended to get wet, well that was a mistake, but being at the "promised land"(10th row, right below Jer's feet) was the spot I witnessed this beautiful version. I will NEVER forget it & for "grate" reason I will not go any furthur into. I feel it is most definately the best SOTM post Healy(after 3.6.94) when John Culter was runnin' the SBD. The "Gloria" encore was the final GD Encore I saw. It sure beat the IFTLaw that was up in rotation though. Sweet mamas booty shakin' goin' on =)~KimockFiend
If you're lookin' for this year's best show(1994) look no furthur than 7/20/94(middle show @t Deer Creek, I loved that Deer Creek run(my final one(7/19,20,21/1994, thankfully I gave away my 7/2 ticket(the blue one)Rex Benefit, 7/3/95(red one)will remain hidden, unused and not to be looked at for bad vibes it gives off)but the MSGarden run has the best show in the year, check out the run, it's obvious. My pick, of the 9 I saw this year was hard to say, I did 2 Richfield Col shows, 3 Omni shows, 3 Deer Creek shows & 1 Buckeye Lake show. Hard pick for me. Don't forget the underdawg favorite of mine, good ol' Phil & Friends w/ Jer 9/24/94.
Only Phil & Friends show where the best lead guitarist was NOT Steve Kimock(in his 27) 8/7/98>10/29/99. The came the Q and I enjoyed them, but was destined to follow Saint Stephen Kimock, carrier of the torch. Nice pass Jer =)He didn't tell anyone but passed the torch secretly at the Soviet Union/US Peace Walk. See Zero 7/15/88, you'll get it. If you can find the dvd that I did, or you can snag a picture at http://www.deadimages.com (Thanks Robbi Cohn)

People have been writing that this is the best "Standing"ever.Im a big SOTM fan,and 6-7-91 was by far the best ever, killing this crappy audience version.Sure
...
Jerry goes off at the end,but by this time it was a bit rehearsed,he blew many a "Standing"in the last couple years and would try to make it up with a seemingly scripted"BE WITH YOU!"session at the end.It wasnt even cool man.Again, check out 6-7-91.Its fucking sick as fuck

...and I saw 7. This night was especially fun as a friend and I took 2 girls for their first show. We went up to the top of the arena, directly opposite

the stage. The whole 2nd set rocked, and I especially liked the 2nd set Cumberland and the light show accompanying the Wheel. Incidentally, the 2 RFK shows were the worst of those that I ever saw (92, 93, 94, and 95)--just low energy. The coolest seen was Buckeye--coldest August night I ever spent.

This SOTM rivals the AM Dew on 3-27-94, and the Stella on 3-21-94, although I think the AM Dew and the Stella are probably better, this is soulful and
...
emotional Garcia at his absolute finest....If you think that 94 sucked (and I know a lot of the Heads out there do), at least do me the service of listening to any of the aforementioned versions and then re-evaluate your opinion.
REVISION: Hey bigboypeete, thanks for putting Tito in his place, some of the things he says about people who simply disagree with him are flat our RUDE!!

This show makes up for the lackluster Orlando show the night before. This was one of my favorite shows that I ever attended live. We met Toby "Gainesville"
...
Gaine on the Train (Metrorail) on the way in, a great friend to this day. Then we get a pair of Jacks to open, a strong Promised to close the first set, our first Cumberland since the Vegas lightning show in 92 (I tackled Tim to the floor when they went into it), and the best Standing on the Moon I ever heard. I've put it on countless compilations. Jerry just goes OFF vocally at the end. Makes me cry every time.
