Race Is On
Pretty sweet post Brent show.
Not sure how someone could think this Race Is On is butchered. Jerry misses one note opening chorus, but his playing is smoking the whole way through thereafter!

Smooooth First Set
This show is of my favorites of 93
I especially like the Dire-Memphis-Lazy River Road- JBG
It is played VERY smoothly and the Lazy River flows soo nicely into JBG especially that you don't really realize its there, JBG played better than many of the 70's versions IMO
Some low points- the Race is On is kinda thrown in there outa knowwhere somewhat nostalgically and is truly butchered, but besides that the first set is really smooooth and nice, an easy listen

So many roads
This show has a lot going for it, especially, if you can find one of the high quality sounding SBD versions in circulation. It may not be 1969, or 1972-74, nor Spring '77, but it definitely is one of the better shows from that year/period with it's own beauty. Listen to it some more, let it soak-in and see if it doesn't work it's magic. The boys were on that night if you listen closely. I agree that Edie Brickell is pure delight.

like most of 93. Edie is a nice reason to sample. Any reason why Race is on was busted out? Could it be the day of the NYC marathon?

Shine out your window with the long hair flowing ...
A novelty show in some respects, Edie's "chanting" during Space adds a dramatic flair and Healy (or whoever replaced him at this point?) does a nice job of reverbing and echoing her voice through the monitor. The first set has a hopping GSET and very strong Johnny B. with nice leads by Vince (something you don't get to type very often). The 2d set, aside from the back end tunes with Edie is very mediocare in my opinion. While she does "add value" to GDTRFB, it would have been nice if she soloed during the number instead of just doing back up. Decent, not great, Morning Dew.
Neutral Recommendation

Set 1 Rocks
This first set is smoking. If you can find a better copy of it, do it. I still listen to my analog master.

Edie Brickell should have visited more often
I havae a soft spot for Edie ever since seeing her live in 1991 (She was a great singer and hot, and her band rocked), so am biased in this review. Loved her vocals during space and her singing when she joined in afterwards, esp GDTRFB. Makes the show, a gem in a year with few of them

Ol' Jerry Is Lost
I DL this show for the Edie Brickell and thats all its worth (barely). Set I is a different source. Vocals are very muddy. Second set improves but Jerry appears to be lost in So Many Roads almost not keeping with the beat. A couple of times in GDTRFB too. Then again it is 1993 and the slide was on.
