What do you know? Your first show was in '86, and if you ever cared about the scene you'd try to do something about it instead of talking smack about everyone who was on the scene before OR after you.
My first show was in '87, but at least I respected my elders and ALWAYS tried to guide youngers as much as they'd be guided. All you do is yap yap yap about who you hate. F--k off. Go somewhere else & continue your cream puff war. Same goes for EVERY Deadhead who complains about "the newbies" or "the dirtsurfers"--what does that even mean? You're a dirtSUCKER, and a sh-tTALKER and nothing else. The definition of an a--hole is something that nothing comes out of but sh-t, and that's YOU. Get some perspective and look in the mirror if you need to find something to loathe.
As for the show and recording: how is this AUD recording available in stream form only? I have a sinking feeling... Anyway, the recording is not good enough to hear if the show is any good.

If this is an AMS ST250 recording, it was taped by James Young and Clay Brennecke. There's another AMS version of this show uploaded by Michael Townshend which gives credit to Jamie Young.

these were last two shows of the tour, we caught the deer Creek shows just before these, and in my opinion only the last deer Creek show was good (check out the Terrapin-jam-dark Star after space).
A beautiful summer day/night at RFK. always a mellow scene, the ticketless hordes *really* started to ruin things in 94...set opener was halfstep, always nice, into a respectable little red rooster. a little pause, then a nice surprise, Tom Thumb's blues, sung and played really well by Phil (always a treat). Jerry, not to be outdone, follows up with an Althea, nice and slow, sultry even... Weir keeps things going with a strong Cassidy, the jam before the final verse was better than the previous few i had seen...then a pregnant pause, and Cumberland, one of my absolute favorites... The band did not disappoint, this Cumberland was smoking hot, with fiery leads by Garcia! danced my ass off! the Promised land closer was also smoking, seemed to me that Garcia did not want to stop playing.
Second set was a nice flow, going in time with the sunset, mellow... The uncle John's band brought tears to my eyes...I didn't like Corrina when it first came out, but the jam at the end was always expanding.
How many bad things can you say about a show that ends with The Weight?
Tomorrow night, though not as fiery, was another good show. ahhhh.

the dirtsurfers fucked everything up by this point, and hornsby's blowbox ruined every show he pulled it out during...

Great show, Hornsby rocked the squeeze box. After several lackluster spring shows at Cap Centre this show really had alot of energy and great song selection that had the crowd into it from beginning to end.

Amen to the previous post. I too was @ this show & it reaffirmed what I had been thinking for a few years prior. The scene was done!! All the ticketless idiots in the parking lot no matter how big the venue was. my friend had an extra ticket & when one kid walked by looking for one & my friend told him he had one for face price you would have thought from his reaction that my friend had committed a sin. He didn't want to pay anything. Too typical of the attitude @ the time "I have a right to be @ every show" blah, blah, blah. It got to the point where we would stay in our hotels right up until it was time to get to the venue & go straight in.
I may be in the minority, but I would have paid real money to smash the shit out of Hornsby's accordian. so annoying. I love his piano playing, but can't stand his voice. also agree that the show was about average. highlights here & there, but not solid throughout. 3 stars tops.

This was the summer of Jurassic Park and everyone had t-shirts for Jerry's Acid Park. Still have mine with paint on it but it's holding up. Somehow we all got lost on the Shady Grove Metro line and swore we would miss the show after a long drive from Pgh. Fantastic show with outstanding finish of The Weight.

This may actually be one of my favorite shows...
I didnât have a ticket for this show... My friends all had tickets but I only mail ordered for the second show 6/26/93 (which was great too!)... It was like it was meant to happen.. We get out of the car and I made a sign, placed it on the windshield of the car while we were getting things together and a guy walks up and has a ticket! Woohoo! So anyway, Cumberland was awesome well, And don't even get me started on Birdsong! Come to think of it.. everything was just so ON.... The weight... All I can picture in my head is Jerryâs hair blowing in the wind... It was just amazing to me... And under the bridge was nuts!!! I remember everyone âmoo-ingâ As we tried to get throughâ¦.
Awesome show!

I give this show a 5 star. I know it doesn't compare to shows back in the day, but I wasn't able to see those. Anyway, the night was great, and I loved the addition of the accordian. Sugar Mag was amazing that night. I still get chills listening to it and remembering that 10 mins of insane jamming and energy. One of my favorite shows I went to because it ended to strong.

I have warm fuzzy memories of RFK '93. Something about the sun going down over RFK- it's like an orange haze that slowly fades out into the summer night. This might not be the best AUD, but it works for me as one for the "scrapbook". I know a lot of people are not big fans of "Corinna", but this night it rolled quite nicely. It won me over that night. A great China into Rider to start the 2nd set off jammin. I'm giving this show a 5 for performance.

RFK 93 was incredible. The visuals and music were intense. Half Step was a great opener. Cumberland was the 1st set highlight with a high energy Promised Land closer. Set 2 opened with a China Cat>Rider played to perfection. The jam in between seemed like it was about 25 minutes long. It was one of those nights. UJB was a whole lotta fun. Corinna had very cool groove. Sugar Magnolia had the crowd dancing wildly as the whole stadium was a sea of tye-dye moving to the music. The Weight encore put a perfect end to the evening. By the way, did anyone else see the plane dance over the stadium during the 1st set?

Worth the price of admission.
Bruce on accordion was a nice addition.
Good AUD recording for a staduim show.
Sounds exactly like the source analog I had right after the RFK stand.

This is another incredible night in 93' and the recording sounds very nice. I think some folks compare aud recordings too closely to soundboards. ANY ST250 Soundfield recording on this board is worth getting.
Enjoy!
