Yeah this is about as good as it gets. The quality is almost Matrix good, the audience has a real presence here. And its a pretty kickin' show to boot.

Best SBD source!
There are many different sources to chose from for this show, both SBD and AUD recordings.
This is by far the best soundboard master available, as the other ones sound thin, hissy, and tinny.
Great separation of the instruments and EQ here. Jerry's crisp '85 soloing comes through nicely hear, and the band in general is on fire. A great '85 Dancin' for sure. Despite Jerry's declining health, there are some really smoking shows in '85.

This is a very good Aud recording and the energy level is off the hook.
Jerry's voice is rough but his playin makes the grade for sure.
Turn it up loud and hold on ladies and gentleman ITS THE GRATEFUL DEAD!

Take me back
streaming these shows we were at is the best. My long lost cassette of this show worn out on smokestack and the incomparable She Belongs to Me - RIP. The SBTM remains one of the highlights of my 100 shows...smiling at Jerry from the back of the crappy Spectrum floor.

Happy Easter!
I was the idiot walking around the parking lot with a 5 foot tall purple inflatable Easter Bunny with an "I'm with Phil" sticker across its chest...my pal(the rabbit)and I spent the whole day looking for a ticket...about an hour before showtime a guy walks up to me and says he's been watching me make a complete fool of myself all day long and I deserve his extra ticket!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeeeee-Hawwww me and my pal were in! Security looked at me like I was a wierdo...which I guess I was.
What a great show this one was! High energy and a really fun set-list. Jerry was squaking, mumbling and growling but he would make up for it with great solos. When Phil is into it anything might happen!
This recording is great. A lot of SBD's have way too much kick drum, not enough audience, too clean etc, this one is just right!

Great Sunday Night Show
This was my last show before starting law school, my best friend and I went with some buddies from Rutgers, great pre-show parking lot party, I remember sitting in car partying away listening to Mickey Hart being interviewed live on local FM station sponsoring the show...Mickey was amazed at all the "colors" the East-Coast Dead Heads displayed
memorable party, memorable trip to philly, memorable show
I REALLY MISS JERRY- GOD BLESS HIM
When Phil came out and teased everyone, then did "do it int he road', you knw it was going to be a long, strange trip indeed!!!!!

She Belongs to Me
Another fine SBD for the listening pleasure of those who love this era. Yes, Jerry's voice is SHOT, but in 1985, he would often make up for this shortcoming with top-notch guitar playing. He did so on this night, and it shines on one song in particular - She Belongs to Me. They only played this song in 1985, and I caught quite a few live. On this version, both of Jerry's guitar solos are masterpieces of lyrical artistry. Then at the end of the song, instead of belting out the final refrain of "Paint the daytime black" to end the song as he usually did, he gives his spent vocal cords a rest, and digs into Tiger for 10 seconds of Power & Glory that once again reminds me why I love this band.

Bird Song
I am surprised no one mentioned the Bird Song. When Dark Star got shelved, some of the Bird Song's were as good as it got for tight, improvisational jamming. The
13:21 length should give you a pretty good idea that they were into it.
Great sound too!

Good Setlist...weak Jerry vox...
It really doesn't matter that Jerry's voice was shot at this point. This is a highly unique setlist (as were many in 85). Great version of WDWDIITR > 1/2 Step...Gimme Some Lovin'-> Truckin'-> Smokestack Lightning-> Morning Dew-> Sugar Magnolia is the heat. Truckin' has one of those perfect 'peak' moments that you want to hear in every performance.
Sound = 4.5, Setlist = 4.5, Performance = 3.75...4.25 overall.

this set list reads like the kind you make up like a kid playing baseball in his backyard is about to win the world series, again. pure fantasy. the show was every bit as tastey as the set lists sound. the boys always delivered in Providence...but this was special delivery to be sure. very electric air...the place was humming with super charched energy and you just knew it was gonna be one of those days...

SHAKEDOWN STREET!!!!!
this is one of the best shakedowns ever! jerry's singing is a little off...being '85 and all, but the jamming is hot! the rest of the set is all that, but get this for the shakedown and get knee deep in the funk!

CAN YOU HEAR ME KIDS ?
From the insane pre-show energy levels, you could tell this was going to be one of those shows. Phil asks "can you hear me kids ?", what could we do, but shout back in ectasy? By the time of the Morning Dew, all jaws were slack from front to back. A great recording of a truly amazing show, from start to end.
