WTF?
I can't believe all these 2-and 3-star reviews. What are these people expecting? There's a 16-minute Playing in the Band that gets way out there, the kind of thing I used to wish for whenever I saw them in their later years. The rest is pretty typical for the era except that NFA is more jammed out that usual for this period and is very high energy.
So, Bobby's a little hoarse. Big deal. This is a very good show.

HEY NOW
This show is great both nights are in my opinion really great shows 4 stArs all the way Bobby’s voice is a little course. I always believe that when Bobby or Jerry’s voice is sounding rough they are going to jam very well that’s just my opinion like they are trying to make up for their rough voice.

the wave
I was 20 with a group of friends from Connecticut. My friend Patrick tried for 20 minutes to start the wave before the show. Our neighbors were getting annoyed, then it took off like a shot and the whole stadium was doing the wave. I never laughed harder in my life. Anyone remember the wave ?
Show was good, wasn't crazy about the set list.

funny story
there were 4 of us in the car on the way to giant stadium, we get pulled over (shitty car cracked windshield, we were all in our early 20's decked out in tie dye) com'n down rt 15 out of lake hopatcong nj. cop takes the driver out empty pockets finds the joints in his cigarette pack, pulls me out same thing. the other 2 didn't have anything on them. the 2 of us get handcuffed (so humiliating) and arrested taken to the stupid ass town right there at the end where 15 and 80 meet, i can't remember the name, anyway the dumb bully processes us and let's us go, made it to the show to hear bertha starting. we went to court pled guilty got some fine+lawyer total was like 1500 or so and some community service, which we never ended up having to do for some strange reason. sorta enjoyed the show but was a little down wondering what was going to happen

Updating this on 5/27/11: Orig. Post: "Bobby having a voice would have helped. But at the end of the day, the show lost all its energy after Playin'..... As for energy, 1st set was strong and 2nd set was strong till after drumz...Jerry did a great job with Bertha>>Good Lovin'>>UJB>>Playin'... but Corrina can ruin even the best of shows.... that and Easy Answers headed the list of songs I would pay not to hear!!!! Oh, almost forgot... weather was better than the night before!!!" Updates: Been listening to the 91 - 95's for the first time in a while. Still think my original assessment is on target. What I will add is that neither today during "re-listening" nor that night in the swamps of Jersey, did I hear anything that hints at the total melt down of Jerry's health and playing that would follow over the next 18+ months... Truth be told, for how ragged '94 sounds compared to '93, it is nothing compared to the deterioration from the end of '94 to the start of spring tour '95.....

Super duper
I enjoyed this show thoroughly. From my seats I could see the sun just disappear under the edge of Giants Stadium as the band opened with Here Comes Sunshine. The rest was gravy. I only was disappointed in the fact that my two other buddies and I all had seats apart from each other, but I made a few new friends so that turned out to be a blessing. I just wish we would have veered away from hackensack after the show......creepy.

Nostalgia
This show has a special place in my heart, as well. After being shut out in Albany earlier that year, this was my first time seeing the band. No real stand outs, but some high points and Jerry was in better form than many of the shows I saw over the following two years.

Boring to say the least. With weir's voice gone the band does the novelty of Bertha>GL but it's not enough.

Magic Bus Trip
A bunch of us took the magic bus along with a local radio station from PA to the show. The last thing I remember is getting on the bus. I figured "what the hey, Im not driving." So me and a buddy dosed and ate some fungi. Had a permagrin all day, Here Comes S.S. was my first and nice to see for a set opener. Always love the Phil Zone w/ Broken Arrow. The Let it Grow was memorable. The Attics in the second set was also another first for me (I remember seeing stars fall from the sky at that point). I still cannot stomach Corrina; just don't like the song and it doesn't seem to fit IMOA. I'll give this 4 stars for sound quality, 4 stars for the show, 5 stars for a wonderful trip and hanging with friends.

Giants Stadium 1993
This is a good sounding board. Bobby's voice is terrible. He sounds worn out during the 2nd set. Listen to Good Lovin' and Playing. The 2nd set does not have the energy to match the first. The shows are Auburn Hills are both better. Sound is a 4 performance is a 3.

Great sound
This show has a special place in my heart...my last show, so I may rate this a little higher that I should...but the sound of the recording is better than it sounded that night at Giants Stadium. Setlist is not bad...kinda slow moving show, but still nice.

Decent show, my first completely sober show, the sound of this download is very good and with a little work and lite editing, you can fit the entire show on two discs. I got juiced on this show when I saw it and up until corrina, the CDs prove my ear right. However, the energy after space isn't quite as focused as previous songs...although, the boys pick it back up for a powerful rendition of Attics. NFA also provides some sparks... Overall, worthy of a download but there are deffinately better shows from 93 available...
The sound quality gives this show a four while the aforementioned drop off in energy keeps it from being super. Hence the 3. ;)
