I am listening to every 1994 show in order, mining for gold.
This is a great AUD.
I continue to be surprised at the negative reviews from this summer ... tour. Sure, if this was your first show, and all you had to listen to before was Live/Dead, Europe '72, and some tapes from the late-70s, you might be disappointed. But, considering the time, there has been a lot to enjoy, especially if you have tracked the development of the band's sound since Brent passed. You gotta remember, this is a band that celebrated their 20-year anniversary in 1985...you're not going to hear peak 1970-74 performances in 1994.
Set 1 Highlights: Great first set with a Roses, Loose Lucy, Easy Answers. The All Over Now in the #2 slot was fun.
Set 2 HIGHlights: Samson outro played a little differently here. Is it wrong that I like Way to Go Home more than almost all of Brent's original songs? :D Eyes is okay, and Vince does some cool things on Eternity. Jerry gives us a very nice He's Gone. Not the best second set in comparison to previous nights.

show that has Shoe Fits and Cheesy Answers back to back & Way To Go Vince is fighting an uphill battle. The drummers also manage to butcher an otherwise decent Roses by stepping all over the delicate melody. The Eyes> Eternity> He's Gone run is nice, although a bit on the sleepy side. When they came out of Space with Days Between I correctly guessed the rest of the show including encore and proceded to sit down & nap for the remainder. The boys weren't any more engaged than I was apparently as post-space lacks any signs of life.
A frustrating example of what was passing for routine by this late date.
This is a very good sounding AUD but overall it still only warrants 2 stars due to lackluster performance. (Not as bad as the debacle in 95 tho)

This could have been a great show. Too bad it was peppered with so much crap. I mean Easy Answers, Long Way, and Eternity in the same show? C'Mon!
However, ... the Roses and Eyes were awesome, as well as a haunting Days out of Space. (Even though Jerry forgot some words...) His playing was on point, even if his lyrics weren't.
I remember being on a shitload of ecstasy and I just wanted to DANCE in the aisle but this security guard lady kept coming by and making me go back to my seat...so as soon as she was out of sight, back to the hallway I went, every time.
I must say, the absolute highlight of this show was Jim Capaldi's conga clinic during Traffic's opening set. He is the SHIT!!! Traffic was awesome all the way around and Low Spark was one of the best moments of my years on tour. I danced my ASS OFF.

...
most shows i saw in the 80's. Hate to hear anyone say that they knew they were done. We are all done at some point, and they were not there yet.Maybee close

Being only 15yr.s old and homeless at the time, I was late gettin' on 'TOUR'. I don't care what anyone says this was a great show. I was 13 rows back on

Jerry's side. 7/23/94 was awesome too. Although I heard it from Lake Shore Dr. (LSD) on acid while they played Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds (LSD). I'm stoked to have that Terrapin that I missed. This is a good AUD.IMHO. FOREVER GRATEFUL!!to the band and tapers.
